Global Futures Foundation/Future 500

GFF/Future 500 is an innovative non-profit organization integrating the interests of business and the environment. GFF sponsors practical publications, workshops, and roundtables on topics like pollution prevention, industrial ecology, resource productivity, market-based environmental laws, ISO 14000, and The Natural Step. The Global Futures Foundation manages The Future 500, a global network of leadership companies who are seeking to learn how to maximize their triple bottom lines, their economic, social, and environmental performance, all at once.  Future 500 provides them with tools, training and consultation that can maximize corporate returns not just to shareholders, but to all their stakeholders, in the workplace, community, marketplace, and environment.

The Collins Family Foundation co-sponsored IE 2003 Profitable Sustainability with the Future 500 on April 7-8, 2003. The proceedings of this retreat can be downloaded using the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Network for Business Innovation and Sustainability (NBIS/NW)

The mission of NBIS is to be a catalyst for business practices that enrich the quality of life for present and future generations.

· Providing collaborative opportunities among businesses, higher education and other community institutions and organizations

· Sharing best practices that create prosperous companies and communities

· Stimulating value-adding solutions to environmental, economic, and social challenges

· Linking the resources of higher education with business through interdisciplinary action learning and research opportunities

· Building an online collaboration network, talent bank, and resource library

The Orion Observatory

The Orion Observatory provides services for the benefit of the astronomical and scientific communities, and the general public. The mission of the Observatory is to further an understanding of the Cosmos in which Earth is but a tiny resident. From the very beginning of the creation of our planetary home and the beginnings of the Universe from which it evolved, to the future evolution of the human race, the Orion Observatory's desire is to help provide a foundation for better understanding our past, our present, and our future. The Collins Family Foundation has sponsored events at a number of Orion Observatory Workshops. The most recent is such workshop is Cosmic Evolution and Big History, held at the Hacienda Retreat Center in Jolon, CA.
